Salman Rushdie
Salman Rushdie was born in 1947 in Bombay to a Kashmiri family. He won the Booker Prize in 1981. His fiction is often set on the Indian subcontinent and blends magical realism with historical fiction to explore the connections, disruptions, and migrations between Eastern and Western worlds.
